Nancy was born and raised in Idaho in a large family of high achievers. She enjoyed an active lifestyle of education and athletics including years of jumprope competitions, soccer, and marathon racing. After college, living in Brazil, marrying, becoming a mother and foster mother, nine moves, and completing a master’s degree, she finally broke down in Indiana. The life altering experience of physical break down set her on a road for deeper understanding of her physical body and inner peace as she rebuilt her identity from decades of focusing on achievement, to a more balanced next phase of life.
Two years of tentative practice and one-on-one training helped Nancy develop a very specific understanding of the deeper workings of physiology and psychology of yoga. She completed her 200YTT in 2017 and has been sharing yoga with others who are seeking the peace and Inner Power that accompanies the practice of yoga.
Nancy has continued to grow and increase her capacity to share yoga with others, particularly children, centering her continued education on kids yoga. She has completed over 200 hours of children’s yoga training. In 2019 Nancy became the 2nd Registered Children’s Yoga teacher in the state of Indiana through Yoga Alliance. She developed the Fusion Kids Yoga 95 Teacher Training, graduating her first kids yoga teacher in the spring of 2020. Nancy completed her 500 hour YTT through Fusion Yoga & Authentic Yoga in December of 2019. As an experienced yoga teacher, Nancy has over 1,000 hours of teaching and is a Certified Education Provider.
During the pandemic Nancy and her family decided to stop putting their dreams on hold and moved their family to Oahu, Hawaii. From her island home Nancy has collaborated with Pump & Grind Fitness to create balanced functional fitness programs including yoga as a main modality for continued strength. Nancy enjoys building community through yoga and has a Complete Yoga Training business which allows her to nerd-out on the power of yoga for personal transformation with people that she truly cares about. Nancy now travels to the mainland to teach and train new and advanced yoga teachers as well as promote Trauma Sensitive Yoga practices. Nancy loves to surf and hike. She spends most of her day to day with her 3 teenagers at their final fixer-upper as they all seek a more balanced family life in paradise.
